My father has never returned to his native Iran since arriving in France 47 years ago.

While the unrest there gives us hope of traveling there together in the camper van my father calls home, he constantly pushes the project back. In seeking to understand what makes his return so difficult, I draw the portrait of an elderly immigrant dreaming of a country that no longer exists.
